This dictionary style resource not only gives quality definitions of terminology, but has longer articles when further explanation is necessary for comprehension. 

 

Encyclopedia Britannica                                                                                 Online

An online version of the traditional print encyclopedia.

 

Encyclopedia of Human Nutrition                                                              R 612.3 E56 1999

This three volume encyclopedia is an extremely thorough resource for human nutrition. It covers all aspects of nutrition including all health issues related to nutrition and malnutrition.                 

 

Encyclopedia of Interior Design                                                                 R 747.03 E565 1997

A two volume set that encompasses the history of interior design.  This work is complete with styles and terminology, along with major movements and influential people in the field.

 

The Greenwood Encyclopedia of Homes Through American History                R 728.0973 G816 2008

This encyclopedia discusses home styles in the various eras, from 1492 to the present. It includes a glossary and a resource guide for additional information.

 

The Oxford Encyclopedia of Food and Drink in America                  R 641.3 O98 2004    

This two volume set focuses on the culinary history of America.  It is easy to navigate with the help of the list of articles located in the front of each volume.
